So we all know, going to the gym is the "it" thing nowadays. Truthfully, if I could, I would love to go. Just to keep the heart pumping, to keep the body toned, etc. If I have the courage, that is. The idea of exercising - running, lifting weights, cycling - in public is kinda embarrassing to me. I have no confidence whatsoever. For most people, going to the gym is a great way to lose and manage weight. It is a great investment for health purposes because we are now living in a world where technology makes our life so easy that we're all lazy bums now.
Being healthy is great, but lately I've noticed guys are going to the gym to build their body. So the question is, yay or nay? Don't get me wrong, guys with great physique are awesome. They look good in almost everything they wear, as a female I approve. But as a female as well, I disapprove extra bulgy muscle. Small head, big neck, big buff shoulders, huge biceps. Gross.
Admit it, all guys wanna be him:
But I don't want a boyfriend like him. Yes, we squeal and nosebleed at shirtless Taylor Lautner, that's because he's a Hollywood actor. But why not keep the muscles natural? The type where it "looks" like the muscles were developed through participating in outdoor activities (sports, rock climbing, river rafting, whatever). Too buff will make you look like you're trying too hard. You'll end up looking like this:
This is a NAY! (Merong Mahawangsa is a yay but shirtless Merong is a nay.) They're (muscles) humongous!
Call me bias, but THIS is my kind of YAY:
It's not too much. There's an effort to looking good, but not overdoing it is the best.
I have no intention to hurt anybody with this post. I'm just putting in my two cents. Everybody has their rights to look good and have self-satisfaction from their appearance. Heck, I have things that I wanted to change about myself as well. It doesn't matter if you're big, small, fat, or skinny, you are who you are and everybody is beautiful in their own way. But just don't go overboard with it, alright? That is all from me now. Finally, this post is out of my system. Phew. xoxo!
